Tickets are now on sale for the biggest event on the Papua New Guinea mining industry’s calendar in the PNG Expo.
Papua New Guinea is home to a diverse range of industries that could benefit from Australian investment, especially in the resources sector.
For GVS Reliability Products, a supplier of industrial monitoring solutions, the region is vital.
GVS marketing manager Emily Wilkinson said mines across the country utilise the company’s high-quality products.
“We predominantly work alongside the PNG mining industry but know there are more opportunities available that we haven’t had the ability to connect with yet,” she said.
“The distance between the two countries and a lack of representation in PNG makes networking difficult.”
The upcoming PNG Industrial and Mining Resources Exhibition and Conference (PNG Expo) aims to help solve these problems by bringing Australian and PNG decision-makers together under one roof.
The two-day exhibition will include an array of equipment and stands at the Stanley Hotel in Port Moresby.
Wilkinson said the PNG Expo is a valuable opportunity to help expand the company’s reach.
“The PNG Expo presents valuable opportunities for networking, direct customer engagement, and on-site product demonstrations,” she said.
“It also allows us to provide hands-on training and product support, showcase our solutions in real-world applications, and gain insights into customer challenges to develop tailored market strategies.
“This is a great opportunity to connect with potential customers who may not yet be familiar with our products and capabilities, while also learning more about their needs.”
The PNG Expo will also include several networking opportunities to help attendees make the most of the international event.
Delegates will be able to attend welcome drinks the night before the exhibition’s commencement and a gala dinner to cap off the event.
Remington Group’s general manager of marketing Esther Gegelagi said last year’s event was an excellent opportunity to engage with industry professionals, explore business synergies, and showcase their products and services to a diverse audience.
As a result, BizPrint is proud to be a silver sponsor of this year’s PNG Expo.
“The event facilitated meaningful interactions with both new and existing customers, allowing us to demonstrate our capabilities and discuss how our solutions can support their business needs,” Gegelagi said.
“The personal connections made at the expo contributed in strengthening our brand presence. Following our successful sponsorship of last year’s PNG Industrial and Mining Conference and Expo through our business unit, BizPrint, we gained significant brand exposure and generated valuable business leads.
“This event provides a strategic platform to connect with customers, both locally and internationally, while showcasing our expertise in the printing industry.
“Sponsoring the 2025 PNG Expo aligns with our commitment to supporting industry growth and building strong business relationships.”
In addition to the expo, a conference will feature leading experts from across the mining and resources sector, who will share insights on the challenges and opportunities facing the local industry. Speakers from government, mining, energy, petroleum, and infrastructure will discuss key topics such as productivity, safety, sustainability, and innovation in technology and equipment.
