Mark Krause has been appointed as chair Manufacturing & Services Division chair on the opening night of the National Stone, Sand and Gravel Convention 2024.
Krause, who started at McLanahan Corporation in 2014, takes over from the outgoing Charlie Johnson with Komatsu’s Tom Suess named as vice chair of the Manufacturing & Services.
“I am honoured to be taking on this role and thankful to Charlie and the past M&S Chairs for their leadership,” Krause said.
“I look forward to working with NSSGA staff and M&S members to continue our service to the association and foster beneficial relationships across the industry.”
In a statement, the NSSGA said Krause’s experience from producer to dealer level at several manufacturers made him a perfect fit. In his 40 years in the industry, Krause has become a mentor and educator to others.
Krause will formally be voted into the NSSGA leadership during the annual membership and board of directors meeting on Tuesday, March 26.
The 2024 meeting, themed “Rock Steady,” will highlight the sustained stability and success of the aggregates industry. The Nashville event has been attended by more than 700 attendees and a keynote speech from Super Bowl champion Joe Theismann.
“Our annual conference is important for every NSSGA member. Meeting and sharing ideas helps our industry function efficiently and promotes our collective success,” said NSSGA 2023 Chair Seth Hankowski.
“By working together, we have been able to advance solutions to issues affecting each of our businesses.”
