Heidelberg Materials has extended Dr Dominik von Achten’s term as managing board chairman for three more years.
Dr von Achten, who will now serve until January 31, 2028, will continue his tenure in the position, which he started in February 2020. Prior to that, Dr von Achten joined the board in 2007 and was managing board deputy chairman in 2015.
“With Dr von Achten, we have an experienced manager at the helm of the company who has excellently positioned Heidelberg Materials on a global scale and set the course for the future with great commitment,” Heidelberg Materials supervisory board chairman Dr Bernd Scheifele said.
“We look forward to continuing the trustful work with him.
“We are convinced that he will keep driving the transformation into a sustainable and digital future with verve and continue to successfully lead the company in the coming years.”
In a statement, the company praised Dr von Atchten’s role in the company’s decarbonisation, digitalisation and financial position.
