Mississippi Lime Company has revealed a new identity and name that will reflect its international expansion in recent years.
The United States-based lime producer will operate under MLC as will its subsidiary in the United Kingdom, Singleton Birch.
“MLC has been a trusted partner in lime for over a century. Our customers rely on us to deliver high-quality calcium products while achieving the highest level of responsible production, reliable service and agility,” MLC chief executive and president Paul Hogan said.
“Our new brand represents an inflection in our trajectory — defined by a growing international footprint, continuous improvement and innovation.”
The rebrand comes after MLC acquired Singleton Birch, which was regarded as one of the biggest independent lime producers in the UK.
The acquisition of the Melton Ross-based producer in 2022 saw MLC expand its global portfolio.
MLC’s lime production is used in key sectors around the world including steel, transportation, battery minerals, foods, beverages, construction, chemicals, energy, glass, polymers and water treatment.
MLC is a HBM Holdings company and headquartered in St Louis, Missouri and has been established for more than 115 years. Since the acquisition, Singleton Birch has operated under its existing identity and led by chief executive Richard Stansfield.
Singleton Birch has several business lines, including a chemicals division, which provides specialty calcium products to the rubber and plastics markets. It also provides services and solutions to the renewable energy, water treatment and waste management industries.
“This new identity will enable Singleton Birch to build on our reputation for quality and service in the markets we serve, while bringing our business and MLC together into a stronger, more cohesive organization and market presence committed to the future,” Stansfield said.
“The new MLC brand is about keeping true to our customers, our history and our values, but it’s also about adapting for the future, and we’re proud to be part of it.”
