Heidelberg Materials has confirmed its acquisition of B&A Group in an expansion of its recycled materials portfolio.
B&A Group, which is based in Bristol, an turned over in excess of £50m ($94m AUD) making a pre-tax profit of £9.1m ($17m AUD).
“B&A Group is a successful business with an unrivalled reputation in the southwest, underpinned by a strong team,” Heidelberg Materials UK chief executive officer Simon Willis said.
“This announcement follows the completion of our acquisition of Mick George Limited and adds an additional source of high-quality recycled materials for use in our sustainable building materials.
“It is an exciting opportunity for us, and I am looking forward to working with the B&A Group to grow the business further.”
The B&A Group employs 70 people and focuses on recycled and primary aggregate as well as site clearance, earthworks, land remediation and sustainable land regeneration.
B&A Group joins our recycling business line, headed by Recycling Managing Director James Whitelaw.
It continues Heidelberg Materials UK’s significant investment in its recycled materials portfolio. In recent times, the company officially acquired Mick George Group after the Competition and Markets Authority gave it the green light.
