Powerscreen has revealed its exhibition plans for Hillhead, which will get underway this week for the quarrying sector.

Set against the backdrop of Hillhead Quarry in Buxton, UK, Hillhead is the largest exhibition for the quarrying industry.

Powerscreen will focus on educating customers on how to decarbonise their crushing and screening operations. In addition to helping companies reduce carbon emissions in these operations, Powerscreen will present the capabilities of its new 1300X cone crusher in the demonstration area.

“As our mission towards net zero continues, we are excited to meet with like-minded companies to discuss how Powerscreen’s crushing, screening and conveying equipment can help crush their carbon footprint,” Powerscreen business line director and general manager Sean Loughran said.

“Our latest partnership with CATAGEN, as part of the UK’s Red Diesel Replacement scheme (RDR) – is a prime example of our commitment to research and innovation in this field.”

CATAGEN, based in Northern Ireland, has made its name in developing new technology in green hydrogen and e-fuels. Together with Powerscreen, they are currently working on a joint project that will deliver a decarbonised end-to-end demonstration of a Powerscreen Premiertrak 450E crusher and Chieftain 1700XE screener, powered by green hydrogen and e-diesel. They will debut it at a working quarry site in Northern Ireland later this year.

“At the Powerscreen World Dealer Conference in Italy last year, we launched our latest jaw-crushing technology with the Premiertrak 450 and our next-generation impact crushers with the Trakpactor 480 & 480SR,” Powerscreen product director Neil Robinson said.

“It’s now time to replicate these advances with cones and we are looking forward to showcasing these advancements in the demo area.”
