Holcim has announced the acquisition of Cand-Landi Group to boost its construction demolition business.
The Swiss company has 250 employees and consolidated sales of CHF 70 million ($118 million AUD). Its portfolios include recycling and waste management, aggregates, and ready-mix.
“The acquisition of the Cand-Landi Group will advance decarbonization and circularity in Switzerland, a lighthouse market for innovation at Holcim,” Holcim chief executive officer Miljan Gutovic said.
“I look forward to welcoming all 250 employees of the Cand-Landi Group and investing in our next chapter of growth together.”

According to Holcim, the acquisition will help decarbonise its Eclépens plant by providing new sources of alternative raw materials and alternative fuels. It will also add 100,000 tonnes a year to the company’s recycling of construction demolition materials.
Based in French-speaking Western Switzerland, the Candi-Land Group has been family-owned for 128 years, and the announcement builds on the existing partnership between them and Holcim.
