Hillhead has reaffirmed its position as the quarrying industry’s biggest showcase event after a record-breaking 2024 show.
The major trade show returned to Hillhead Quarry in Buxton after its 2022 iteration, and exhibitors, media, attendees, and many others flocked to Hillhead once again.
Event organisers have confirmed that the 2024 show was one for the history books.
According to the organiser’s data, the 2024 show was the most visited Hillhead show ever in terms of volume of visits across the three days. Overall, 26,626 visits occurred over the three-day event, which was eight per cent higher than 2022.

This included a record number of visitors attending for more than one day and visitors spending more time than ever before at the event.
The 2024 show saw 19,577 unique attendees, six per cent more than 2022, and the second-highest number of unique attendees ever. Only 2018, with 19,753, was higher than 2024 in this regard.
Wednesday was the show’s busiest day ever with more than 10,080 people on the site across the day.
