Singleton Birch has invested heavily to enhance its production capacity of the hydrated lime facility.

The UK-based lime solutions provider and subsidiary of MLC has bolstered its Melton Ross facility. The investment will be focused on improving capacity expansion, operational reliability, and quality enhancement. The enhancement comes as Singleton Birch tries to meet the rising demand in established and new markets, including chemical processing and battery minerals.

According to the company, the expansion is expected to be commissioned in early 2025. The UK-based company says the investment in the Melton Ross facility is part of a broader strategy by MLC and Singleton Birch to prioritise operational and asset investments.

“Our continuous investment in our facilities reflects our dedication to providing top-quality lime solutions. We are excited to enhance our production capabilities, which will enable us to grow as a leading supplier to better serve our existing customers and expand into new markets,” said Alistair Forman, managing director at Singleton Birch.

“In addition to enhancing our production capabilities, we are also committed to making sustainable choices and improving our workplace for our employees. These investments demonstrate our dedication to driving reliability, sustainability and operational excellence.”
