Holcim Australia has celebrated a significant production milestone at its concrete plant in Footscray, Victoria.
The team at the Footscray site recently batched its 2 millionth cubic metre of concrete since its upgrade in mid-2017.
In that time, its concrete has been used in significant Victorian infrastructure projects including the Metro Tunnel and West Gate Tunnel.
“Operating 24/7 for over five years, the plant has been crucial in helping our clients meet demanding project timelines,” said Matt Shinners, general manager for Victoria Concrete at Holcim Australia.
“And in line with our commitment to sustainability, Footscray offers a range of low-carbon ECOPact mixes, supporting our vision of building progress for people and the planet.”
Last week, Holcim Australia revealed it will roll out new branding across its Australian operations over the next two to three years.
The initiative will bring Australian operations in line with Holcim’s global operations, including those in New Zealand.
