Cement Concrete & Aggregates Australia (CCAA) unveiled an expanded council with new members at its annual general meeting this week.
George Agriogiannis was reappointed as chair of the CCAA council, while Vik Bansal was appointed vice chair. Mario Panuccio, Simon O’Neil, Geoffrey Hazell, and Graeme Johnson were the new appointments to the board enabled by the CCAA’s updated constitution. Phil Schacht, Rob Davies and Paul Headd were also appointed.
“The appointment of an expanded CCAA council at today’s AGM, reflects a transformative era for CCAA in the implementation of our strategic plan,” said Michael Kilgariff, chief executive officer of CCAA.
According to the CCAA, the AGM reaffirmed the organisation’s role within the industry including to:
- Influence the political, regulatory and market environment to ensure growth of the industry.
- Support the industry’s licence to operate.
- Lead the understanding of our industry and its vital role in society.
As chair of the CCAA council, Agriogiannis delivered his chairman’s report to the members. In this report, he highlighted the key achievements in launching the strategic plan for 2024-26 and updating the constitution.
