Positions are open for Mates in Construction’s Kokoda Trek fundraiser for mental health, which will take place later this year.
The fundraiser will take place from August 9 to 18 this year. Participants will trek the 96km trail to raise funds for mental health programs and research.
“Every step taken on the Kokoda Track symbolises progress in shattering mental health stigmas,” MATES national chief executive Chris Lockwood said.
“It’s not only life-changing for participants but also lifesaving for those aided by the funds and awareness it generates. We invite everyone to join this inspiring expedition.”
The Kokoda Trek has a special place in Australian history and commemorates the efforts of Australian soliders on the Kokoda Campaign in World War 2.
“Don’t consider it, do it. It’s an experience of a lifetime that you will not regret,” previous participant Damian Hewat said.
Places for the trek are limited, so register now to secure your spot at https://form.jotform.com/233191096387867
