Aptella has celebrated a major milestone with Blindsight winning the prestigious Queensland Major Contractors Association (QMCA) Innovation and Technology Award for 2024.
Advanced artificial intelligence (AI) safety solution Blindsight, developed by Presien and deployed by Aptella, claimed the QMCA Innovation and Technology Award 2024 for its role in enhancing safety standards across the industry.
“Winning this award is a testament to the power of innovation in improving safety outcomes,” Aptella market development manager of safety Nicholas Corr said.
“Blindsight is already making a difference by protecting workers and equipping managers with the data they need to drive lasting improvements. We are supporting customers to onboard this game-changing technology and unlock its full potential.”
“A customer recently told me, ‘Blindsight has given us such confidence in our data that we’ve redesigned pedestrian traffic movements and now have a far greater awareness of what’s happening on site.’ This level of safety insight is exactly what organisations need to drive real change.”
Corr accepted the award on behalf of everyone who has contributed to bringing Blindsight to the wider sector. He accepted the award alongside co-winner ACCIONA AU & NZ which was recognised for its work on the Brisbane Metro project.
Aptella supplies the civil construction, building, quarrying, mining, and geospatial industries with technology solutions.
