Regional Group is on the look out for new employees to join its growing operations with hands-on roles in a supportive environment available.
For Regional Group quarry manager at South Keswick quarry, Jake Horsfall, teamwork has always been at the heart of his career.
“When you set goals and achieve them as a team, there’s no better feeling,” he said. “I’m very fortunate to have a great crew around me.”
Horsfall has spent the past four years with Regional Group, leading operations at one of the company’s flagship hard rock quarries. His day-to-day involves overseeing six full-time team members, managing contractors, and ensuring safety and productivity across the site. It’s a role he thrives in, thanks to a strong team culture and shared commitment to doing things well.
Having built his career from the ground up, starting out with manual labour roles and eventually stepping into leadership, Horsfall is a strong advocate for the opportunities the industry offers. He said Regional Group’s supportive, close-knit environment is one of the things that drew him in.
“It’s like a big family here. Everyone’s willing to help each other, and that culture makes all the difference,” he said.
Horsfall also credits the role with allowing him to strike a better work-life balance, which became increasingly important to him as his career and family life evolved.
Regional Group hopes to share more stories like Jake’s as it continues to grow. With 60 sites across Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria, the company is building a workforce that’s proud to be part of something bigger, one where safety, mateship, and long-term career paths come first.
Right now, they’re looking for people to join the team in a range of roles, from truck drivers and operators to HSE advisors and site supervisors. A quarry supervisor position at Neerim, Victoria, is among the current opportunities on offer. This position offers the chance to step into a hands-on leadership role and be part of a supportive site team.
