McLanahan Corporation has celebrated the appointment of Donal McNicholl as a key leader within the Washed Aggregates Trade Association (WATA UK).

Nicholl currently holds the role of McLanahan director of sales for the UK and Ireland and has now taken on a new role with one of the UK’s leading organisations for the washed aggregates sector.

“It’s an honour to join WATA and contribute to shaping the future of our industry,” McNicholl said.

“I look forward to working with fellow members to promote best practices, drive innovation and represent the collective voice of washed aggregate producers.”

WATA UK highlighted the many years of experience and depth of technical knowledge McNicholl has in the aggregate and construction and demolition recycling processing solutions.

“WATA UK is delighted to have Donal join the Board. As a relatively new and vital trade association representing the washed recycled aggregates sector, it is critical we have highly experienced and passionate people like Donal support the development of our association and drive the development of our sector,” WATA UK chair Andy Hill said.

WATA UK highlights the achievements of washed and recycled aggregates to the government and the wider market. It plays a key role in growing the sector and wider UK circular economy.
