Holcim Australia has unveiled a new Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) which will underpin its support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
The RAP encompasses practical actions and long-term partnership initiatives spanning from July 2025 to July 2027. It builds upon the previous RAP, which was launched in 2022.
“This next chapter is about action, embedding reconciliation into our systems, setting clear goals, and holding ourselves accountable for the outcomes. This work is fundamental to our identity and how we operate,” Holcim Australia and New Zealand chief executive officer George Agriogiannis said.
The plan is designed to be implemented across Holcim Australia’s 200-plus sites nationally, so sites can contribute. The new RAP includes key performance indicators, cultural learning initiatives, enhanced Indigenous procurement practices.
RAPs are designed to deliver tangible and substantive benefits for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, including increasing economic equity and supporting First Nations self-determination.
“Commencing an Innovate RAP is a crucial and rewarding period in an organisation’s reconciliation journey. It is a time to build strong foundations and relationships, ensuring sustainable, thoughtful, and impactful RAP outcomes into the future,” Reconciliation Australia chief executive officer Karen Mundine said.
