The Institute of Quarrying Australia (IQA) has launched the new IQA Connect App to help its members stay up to date with each other and the latest sector events.
The new app enables users to connect easily with fellow professionals in Australia’s quarrying sector and stay up-to-date with the latest events and training.
“The launch of the IQA Connect app represents an important step forward in how we engage with and support our members,” IQA chief executive officer Jane Schmitt said.
“It places learning, networking and industry updates directly in the hands of quarry professionals, wherever they are.
“It reflects our commitment to modern, flexible ways of supporting our quarrying community at every stage of their career.”
IQA Connect brings the latest conversations in quarrying into one central, easy-to-use platform, available for free on iOS and Android.
Members can follow these simple steps to access IQA Connect:
- Download IQA Connect (iOS or Android)
- Log in with your IQA website credentials
- Post in the IQA community forum
The new IQA initiative is packed with features for IQA members to use, including ways to share insights, ask questions and network better than ever before.
“IQA Connect has been designed around the needs of our members,” Schmitt said.
“From accessing technical resources and professional development opportunities to staying connected with peers across the country, the app strengthens the value of IQA membership.

“As the sector continues to evolve, IQA Connect provides a digital platform that supports lifelong learning and professional growth,” Schmitt said. “We see this as a key tool in strengthening the quarrying community and supporting best practice across Australia.”
IQA Connect is a major milestone in the IQA’s ongoing efforts to improve the resources available to its members across Australia. The organisation will update the platform with new features and enhancements based on IQA member feedback over the coming months so the platform is always a modern tool that can support professional growth in the sector.
Since IQA Connect launched in October 2025, IQA members have been providing positive reviews for the digital platform. Other members are looking forward to using the free app throughout 2026, with glowing feedback on its performance.
“The app looks great. I can’t wait to explore it further,” IQA Victoria sub-branch member Laura Bennie said. •
