Astec has revealed the launch of the A50 jaw crusher, the first model in it’s A-series line.
Astec vice president of product management Stephen Whyte said that the A50 is the beginning of a new era for the company, customers can soon expect a full lineup of A-series jaw crushers introduced to the market soon.
“The A50 jaw crusher is a true representation of what we can achieve through our OneASTEC NPD strategy, and by bringing together the best engineering expertise and proven designs, we’ve created a machine that represents both our legacy and establishes a new benchmark in future jaw crusher design,” Whyte said.
“The A50 sets a new standard in crushing performance and is the start of an exciting new chapter in crushing technology.”
The crusher draws on its predecessors, such as Pioneer, Telsmith, and Osborn, and is designed for primary applications and features new safety operations.
The keyed and bolted frame helps to eliminate high-stress joints, and solid side plates remove weak points and cutouts in mainframe side plates, both being essential to enhance structural integrity and durability.
To prevent material bridging, the A50 has a cast swing jaw with an angled wear plate, and longer lines maximise material grip.
The crusher also features a patented, interchangeable toggle assemble, with hydraulic and mechanical options which eliminate heavy wedges and side plate cutouts for faster and safer adjustments.
The A-Series jaw crusher will be on display in Astec booth #C30236 at ConExpo/Con-AGG 2026 in Las Vegas, Nevada, 3-7 March 2026.
