Already supporting Boral’s cement transport network in Victoria and South Australia, PNJB will expand into Western Australia following the agreement to deliver Boral’s concrete operations.
PNJB managing director Jelly Sandhu said partnering with Boral was the only option, after careful consideration and review of several options, and is an important milestone for both companies.
“Partnering with you (Boral) to launch our operations in Western Australia has been a significant milestone for our organisations,” Sandhu said.
“Starting this new chapter in cement transport has not only expanded our capabilities but also strengthened our long-term vision. Establishing a strong working relationship and building a reliable service for Boral has been a proud achievement for the entire PNJB Group.”
PNJB has invested in five brand new cement tankers dedicated to Boral’s Western Australia network to help support the transition.
As part of the partnership, PNJB will progressively update the tankers with Boral branding to support a consistent national presence across the fleet.
Boral general manager concrete and quarries western Australia Andre Gobett said the partnership is a significant moment for the industry and the region.
“Boral is proud to be partnering with PNJB to expand its capabilities in Western Australia,” Gobett said.
“Our dedicated cement tanker fleet is a first step and will be travelling to Perth and Western Australia regional sites, so keep an eye out for them.
“A huge thank you to everyone involved for turning this into a great outcome for Boral in Western Australia. Your teamwork and determination made this possible.”
