The Institute of Quarrying Australia (IQA) is continuing its important roll-out of safety-focused learning with a dedicated webinar focusing on roads and vehicles operations at quarry sites.
Scheduled for Thursday, 12 February 2026, the Quarry Roads and Onsite Vehicle Safety webinar will run from 9:00am to 11:00am AEDT and be delivered online via Microsoft Teams.
The webinar will cover hazards and risks associated with the operation of vehicles, mobile plants, and equipment in quarries, as well as a complete overview of legislative requirements and strategies for managing traffic and haul routes.
Topics on the agenda include key hazard identification, transport and route planning fundamentals, and strategies for stockyard layout and operations that minimise interactions between pedestrian workers and heavy machinery.
Facilitated by Chris Georgiou, the session is tailored to quarry supervisors, operators, new workers, and anyone involved in quarry traffic management or haul road design. Attendees will earn two Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points and receive a completion certificate.
Registration is open via the IQA event listing, with both member and non-member pricing options available.
