Holcim New Zealand has confirmed the acquisition of Auckland-based Stevenson ready-mix concrete business, in a move to strengthen its capacity to support infrastructure, commercial, and residential construction across the country.

The company will establish operations throughout Rānui, Penrose, East Tāmaki, and Drury, expanding Holcim’s supply network throughout Auckland.

Holcim Australia & New Zealand chief executive officer George Agriogiannis said the acquisition supports the company’s NextGen Growth 2030 strategy.

“This investment reflects our long-term commitment to New Zealand and demonstrates our position in one of the country’s key growth markets,” Agriogiannis said.

“Auckland is a critical market, and expanding our network enhances both our scale and our ability to deliver consistent, high-quality service to customers.”

The additional plants further expand Holcim New Zealand’s ready-mix concrete capacity in an important growth corridor, while aiming to support the company’s focus on customer service, safety, and sustainable construction solutions. The acquisition is set to support broader access to Holcim’s concrete solutions, including ECOPact low-carbon concrete, Superslab foundations, engineered steel fibre floor systems, and Hydromedia permeable concrete.

Holcim New Zealand is a supplier of cement, aggregates, and ready-mix concrete and has been actively involved in the building industry dating back to 1888.
