The March series offers a range of targeted webinars that provide hands-on learning, industry insight, and practical takeaways tailored to the quarrying sector’s needs.

The month’s program kicks off with Hazard Identification on 10 March, a 1.5-hour session focused on routinely spotting and controlling workplace risks. Quarry operators and supervisors will benefit from actionable strategies to assess hazards before they escalate.

Quarry Roads & Onsite Vehicle Safety follows on 13 March, tackling one of the most high-risk aspects of quarry operations. This webinar covers essential practices for maintaining safe vehicle movement and reducing onsite incidents.

Preparation for unforeseen events is the focus of the Emergency Management session on 17 March, where participants will learn how to prepare their teams and sites to respond effectively when emergencies occur.

For those in leadership roles, Contractor Safety Management on 24 March dives into conflict resolution and team leadership skills, a key area for supervisors managing diverse on-site teams.

Rounding out the month is Plant & Equipment on 27 March, which emphasises safe maintenance and management of quarry plant, including conveyors, mobile equipment and critical guarding systems.

Each webinar delivers Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points, making them valuable for both skill enhancement and professional accreditation. With limited places available, IQA is urging industry members to secure their spots now and stay ahead of evolving safety and performance expectations.

This training push follows the IQA’s broader efforts to strengthen workforce capability across the quarrying sector and aligns with ongoing industry campaigns highlighting safety, career pathways, and professional development.
